The Best Noosa Beaches

Main Beach off Hastings Street

This is the iconic north facing protected beach. Its normally the best bet and "Hastings Street" is where all the restaurants, cafes and shops borders the beach. The classic surf break wraps around the headland shown.

Sunshine Beach

Around the Headland and on the "oceanside" as the locals call it, is Sunshine Beach. It's a true surf beach so always swim between the flags. There's a great surf club overlooking the ocean for a meal & drink plus some other cafes and shops.

Little Cove Beach

From Main Beach, walk along the boardwalk towards Noosa National Park and you'll find "Little Cove" beach. If the wind is blowing due west from the oceanside its a great protected spot. Its also where you can paddle out and catch some waves.

Noosa Woods - The Spit

Located at the mouth of the Noosa River, the area is known for its calm, clear waters, making it an ideal spot for a swim. The spit is also a great place for picnics, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying various water activities like kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. It's a quieter alternative to the main Noosa beaches.

Castaways Beach

Castaways Beach is a less-crowded spot on the  Coast, located just south of Noosa. Known for its beautiful, unspoiled coastline, this surf beach offers golden sands and plenty of space. It's not patrolled so be careful swimming - at low tide its a great place for walk. Car park is tricky to get into..

 National Park Beaches

Noosa National Park is home to some great surf beaches, each offering unique natural beauty and peaceful surroundings. Tea Tree Bay & Granite Bay are accessible via a walk through the national park, Granite Bay is a quieter, more remote beach, ideal for those looking for a less touristy experience.

Peregian Beach

A short 10 minute drive down the coastline is the little surf beach village of Peregian Beach. Great a low tide for a beach walk and the village has shops, cafes, restaurants and a good Pub.

Noosa North Shore

Noosa North Shore's coloured sands are a stunning natural feature along Coast. Great ocean beaches and vibrant, multi-hued sand dunes, ranging from rich reds to soft yellows, are the result of iron oxide staining in the sand. They are a popular spot for sightseeing, photography, and four-wheel driving, offering a unique and picturesque landscape
